Michael Nevitt, Christian Hibbard, David Morton, business partners in Design Lighting Group at the time (DLG dissolved in early 2000’s) served as lighting designers working with D.P. Jamie Anderson. The Director Kevin Smith and Anderson wanted Nevitt to recreate the Morris Day and the Time scene for Prince’s Purple Rain film. The challenge become recreating the lighting of the original picture while adding the needs of the current film.
